Dear Fellow Journeyer,
Welcome to Elim Books' presence on the web! My name is Kimberley Converse, Publisher of Elim Books. Elim Books is a small, family-run company, which relies heavily on consultants. We have been pleased to work with Karen Duvall of Karen Duvall Design; she designed our first cover and interior text. Marlene Bagnull of Write His Answer Ministries is most knowledgeable in substantive editing and marketing. Tricia Welch is my invaluable copy editor. And Pioneer Valley Webs gave our website the brand identity that it needed.
What is Elim? you may be asking. It is a place from the Bible where discouraged, tired, and weary people "came to Elim where there were twelve springs of water and seventy palm trees" (Exodus 15:27). These weary people were the children of Israel, freed from slavery in Egypt, yet still wandering the desert. But now, God had provided a place for them to be refreshed (water), nourished (date palms), and enkindled (given heart to continue the journey). Elim was a place where healing began.
For may years I have prayed for my house and my ministry to be an "Elim" for my family, other Christians, and strangers. God answered my prayer over the years. Often times I heard, "Your home is so comfortable, so cozy, so casual; it is a nice break away from the world out there." I wanted to do the same in the publishing world, offering books that refresh, nourish, and enkindle journeying souls. Our first title, God's Comfort Food for New Beginnings, was released in 1999. New Beginnings seemed appropriate for our first title. Read part of God's Comfort Food for New Beginnings here.
We have designed products that minister effectively and we want to get them to you easily. We have secure, on-line ordering on our company website. We ship orders weekly. We want to serve
you in your ministry needs, whether you are ministering to a friend, to a
group of your peers, to an entire organization, or to yourself. Let us
know how we can improve our service to you by sending us a feedback e-mail.
Thank you for visiting. We hope you enjoy your stay and that you, too, are refreshed by your visit to Elim.
